George Follows received his medical degree from Oxford University Medical School, UK, and completed his medical and hematology training in Newcastle and Edinburgh, and PhD at Leeds University. He moved to Cambridge University in 2004 as a Leukaemia Research Fund Senior Clinical Fellow and, in 2007, was appointed Clinical Lead for lymphoma, CLL, and clinical trials. He is Chair of the UK CLL Forum and Guidelines Panel and the BCSH UK Hodgkin Lymphoma Guidelines panel. Dr Follows is the Clinical Lead for Haematology Research of the East of England Research Network and the Research Lead for hematology clinical trials at the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre. Dr Follows has authored/co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers in different areas of hematological biology and therapeutics in journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Cell, and Nature Genetics.
