Christian Buske is currently Medical Director at the Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Institute of Experimental Cancer Research at the University of Ulm, Germany and attending physician and Professor of Medicine at the Medical Department for Internal Medicine III, Hematology/Oncology at University Hospital Ulm. He is primarily interested in indolent B-cell non- Hodgkin’s lymphoma and in particular follicular lymphoma and Waldenström’s disease. He and his colleagues are coordinating the European Consortium for Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia (ECWM). Professor Buske is principal investigator of several national and international trials in follicular lymphoma and Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia. In addition, he is heading a large translational research group focusing on the biology of haematological neoplasms. Professor Buske has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and acts as reviewer for journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Science, Cancer Cell, Cell Stem Cell, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Blood.
